BIO
As far as she can remember,
Florence Schlegel Schürch held a pencil in her hand.
To this attraction for drawing was added a marked interest in
fabrics and fashion that led her to a career as a fashion designer in Haute Couture in Paris for more than a decade.
Then, somewhat tired of the whims of this universe, love
and new projects brought her back to her hometown, Geneva.
Her weapons of choice, namely ballpoint pen and colored pencils, returned to service and became the tools of her
first passion and now main activity: illustration.

ARBOR FAMILIAE
There are 3 trillion trees on our planet.
According to Thomas Crowther, an ecologist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, www.crowtherlab.com, reforestation and forest conservation constitute, alongside the reduction of CO2 emissions, one of the most effective solutions. to fight climate change.
In addition to the studies carried out by Thomas Crowther, recognized and registered within the framework of the UN program
“UN Decade On Ecosystem Restoration” www.decadeonrestoration.org , the World Economic Forum launched its campaign www.1t.org , aiming to conserve, restore and grow 1,000 billion trees by 2030.
In an effort to raise awareness on the restoration of forests and ecosystems, Florence Schlegel Schürch decided to pay homage to trees through a series of drawings in colored pencils and ballpoint pen.
10% of sales have been donated to www.sugiproject.com, a non-profit organization and official partner of the UN program « UN Decade On Ecosystem Restoration »
YOUR OWN TREE DRAWING
"Is there a special tree in your life ?
Maybe the one under whose shadow you got married?
Or the one who witnessed your first kiss?
Or even just one located in a place that has a special meaning to you?
I can draw your own tree.
Choose the technique you like best (ballpoint pen, colored pencils, a mixture of both)
the paper, the format, the colors...
Send me a picture or the GPS coordinates of your tree and I would be delighted to meet with him/her.
Wait for two or three weeks (I can also work with specific timeline if needed) and your tree will be portrayed forever."
